The G300 is now airborne—completing its historic first flight and further advancing the super-midsize category.
The business aviation world stood still on September 30, 2025, as Gulfstream Aerospace officially took the wraps off its latest masterpiece: the Gulfstream G300. Unveiled at the company’s headquarters in Savannah, Georgia, the G300 is not just a new aircraft; it is a strategic evolution designed to redefine the super-midsize segment and replace the venerable G280.With its maiden flight successfully completed on December 5, 2025, the G300 is now deep into its flight-test campaign, aiming for first customer deliveries in early 2027.
A Clean-Sheet Philosophy in a Familiar Frame
While the G300 shares DNA with the G280, Gulfstream has pivoted toward a “clean-sheet evolution.” The focus has shifted from chasing raw speed to maximizing usable space, mission flexibility, and pilot intelligence.
- Manufacturing Excellence: Like its predecessor, the G300 is manufactured by Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) in Tel Aviv, with final cabin outfitting completed at Gulfstream’s Dallas, Texas facility.
- The “Harmony” Flight Deck: One of the most significant upgrades is the introduction of the Harmony Flight Deck. Moving away from older systems, the G300 features six high-definition touchscreens and “Phase-of-Flight” intelligence, standardizing the cockpit experience across the entire Gulfstream fleet.
Performance: Optimized for the Real World
Gulfstream has tailored the G300 for the missions owners actually fly—prioritizing transcontinental and transatlantic efficiency.
